Mountains!

We're in Missoula now, getting ready for the first Aikido of the trip. It was quite a day of sitting, jelly beans, and Donna Summer.

The day started off in Sheridan WY with all of us being awake by 5AM--which is basically unheard of--and wanting to get an early start to be at class tonight on time. We got the tent and everything packed up fine, and then realized driving out of the KOA was going to wake everyone up which resulted in. . . us pushing the RIDICULOUSLY FULL car out of the camp ground in the pitch black, without having eaten breakfast yet. Luckily we got fantastic views all day, starting with the sunrise.
(The second one is the Montana sign, can't you tell?)

Also, a moment of, let's say, interesting choices near our campsite in Palisades. Fireworks in a dry cornfield, hmm. . . .
We got through the Continental Divide a little after lunchtime. I got a few pictures, but you really can't see all of it through photos. Amazing scenery all day!

Total of 472 miles today. On to Idaho and then Seattle tomorrow!

  2. Seattle! We were just there a few weeks ago. Sitka and Spruce was The.Best.Restaurant.Ever. (Also very expensive). I'll have to pore over your previous posts now and see what else I've missed.
